Single Source Logistics (SSL) is housed at 4718 Hollins Ferry Road. This small team has the large responsibility of fulfilling the essential driver recruitment and staffing needs for over 100 companies in the Baltimore area who require additional drivers, outsourced drivers or surge drivers within their operation. We also specialize in the hiring and placement of specialized fleets that require dedicated long term or short term drivers.

This small team has the large responsibility of fulfilling the essential driver recruitment and staffing needs for over 100 companies in the Baltimore area who require additional drivers, outsourced drivers or surge drivers within their operation. We also specialize in the hiring and placement of specialized fleets that require dedicated long term or short term drivers.

SSL Drivers are full- and part-time professional drivers who are assigned to transport all kinds of goods on short-term or long-term driver staffing contracts with motor carriers and private fleets who have professional driver staffing needs. SSL specializes in finding a perfect match between a drivers desired schedule and the client’s needs. Current clients include Babikow Green Houses, Wollenwebers Trucking and Warehousing, Rukert Terminals, Goetze’s Candy, and of course Cowan Systems. SSL also provides specialized Jockey services for Amazon’s BWI Gateway operation.

Drivers who are interested in working at the Port of Baltimore are required to have container experience and to obtain and maintain their Transportation Identification Card (TWIC).

Employee Recruitment:

  • 3 years minimum verifiable experience.
  • Driver advertisement and referral costs.

Pre-Employment Screening:

  • 10 year employment background check.
    • Criminal background checks.

DOT Physical and Drug Tests:

  • Pre-employment and Random Pool Tests.
    • DOT Physical regardless of current status.

Random and Pre-Employment Drug Tests:

  • Occupational Medical Services.

Personnel Administration:

  • Workers Compensation.
  • Payroll Processing.
  • DOT File and MVR Maintenance.
  • All FICA, SUTA, and FUTA Taxes.

Safety Programs:

  • Quarterly Safety Meetings Conducted by Safety Department Personnel.
    • Mandated Safety Classes for Haz-Mat and Client Requirements.
